Headboards are the main point of any bedroom. They show your taste and personality. There are lots of types and materials out there today, but the most common of them all are the wooden headboards. You can use window panes and shutters, fabrics, old clothes, spare plywood, stencils, even picture frames. A little bit of paint and tools and you are good to go.

All you need to do is think of something creative to make a unique headboard. You can even build bookcase headboards that are not only cheap but also functional. Or you can stick window shutters in back of the bed and cover them with fabric. You can also leave them unpainted to give a rustic country or dramatic look.
