Nature is a useful and a powerful source for learning. It provides us with food, shelter, and develops in us a feeling of admiration for its beauty. Apart from that, nature also provides us with many fun filled and refreshing activities. One such activity is building nature crafts with kids.

Nature has always been a source of attraction and motivation for human beings. In fact, all the great ideas of arts and craft have been adopted from nature. Crafting is an interesting and healthy activity for kids, and it develops in them a sense of usefulness and creativity.

Below is an example of one fun and interesting nature craft that you can do with your child:

Stick Picture Frames

Stick Picture frames are easy to make and requires the following materials:

4 good sized sticks
twine or string
craft paper
a pair of scissors
glue
a family photograph
a picture holder

Begin by tying four sticks together with the string in a square/rectangular shape. Cut out craft paper (the size should match the size of the frame) for background. Next, glue the craft paper to the edges of the sticks. Cut your family photograph to fit into the frame, and glue it inside it. Use string, or a picture holder for hanging the picture.

This is just one example of what can be done with natural items- Nature can be utilized in hundreds of ways. All you need is a little imagination to implement them.
