Godzilla would be the scariest halloween costumes in Japan. Japan has a phobia of large reptiles that spill fire from their mouths, and if you dressed up as one in an halloween costumes, it would frighten many Japanese people. Many old women and men would die from the site of that halloween costumes. Japanese culture itself is a very peculiar and one would have to think why a halloween costumes themed as Godzilla would freak so many people out. Godzilla is this mythical creature living in a underwater volcano off of Japans coast. In the early 80’s, a movie was created in Japan showing Godzilla tearing down the Japanese skyline, breathing fire into the streets and eating humans for food. This frightened many Japanese, as they are a culture that already believes heavily in mythical dragons and monsters. Even a hordes of dedicated samurai who drank unicorn blood for super human strength couldn’t take on the beast that Japan knows as Godzilla. Godzilla eventually became a movie in the United States in the late 90’s with a song made by the famous Sean Combs. That Godzilla destroyed New York city and ate fighter jets for fun. The recent remakes of Godzilla are less than stellar, and I am hoping that movies like Cloverfield would help bring about a new vision of the monster genre.
